Objectives and results
The Forum aims to achieve many positive results and direct goals for the participating companies and factories, and will discuss a number of important main axes for the dates and palm sector in general to reach positive results and recommendations that contribute to overcoming the obstacles facing the owners of factories and farms, including a scientific session to highlight the nutritional and health value of dates in the time of the spread of epidemics and viruses and their direct results on strengthening the immune system for all ages, including the following:
- Raising the volume of exports of Egypt and the participating countries of dates to the target countries for export
- Exchanging experiences and raising the efficiency of workers in the cultivation and manufacture of dates to the hoped-for levels that contribute to achieving the goals of countries and factory owners
- Attracting investors and businessmen to invest in the cultivation and manufacture of dates
- Forming alliances of agricultural companies aimed at increasing the cultivated area of palm trees
- Maximizing the added value of food industries based on dates
- Employing large numbers of young manpower in the dates sector throughout the year.
- Developing the research database and providing it with annual research appropriate to local, regional and international developments
- Identifying and selecting varieties suitable for foreign markets and encouraging their cultivation with setting standards for dates to be exported and working to adopt them by the CODAX Committee
- Accurate statistics for the preparation of palm and its waste in a correct scientific way and maximizing the use of palm by-products to preserve the environment
- Raising the consumer's nutritional awareness of the importance and benefits of medicinal dates and increasing its uses such as (liquid sugar - date powder - natural vinegar - alcohol)
